You “friends” will probably disappoint you also. remember the buzzards are back at the ranch.

[quote=meletio]I actually stole that from Bill Maher. ( who I believe should be president only he’s a little too conservative for me ) . I trade my own account for a living.

Now that was WAY funny

you shouldn’t extrapolate your lack of being able  to do something on someone else.

(You may need a dictionary to look up extrapolate )

[quote=meletio] as far as building a business advice… sorry, I misunderstood. My advice is to simply do the right thing and don’t give because in every downturn tons of people do. The ones left standing inherit the books… Also live below your means and forget about the Joneses. The USA is made up of people that buy things they don’t need with money they don’t have to impress people they don’t know. Formula for disaster

I felt the need to re-post this. I’m not sure I agree with the first part, since none of you should even be in business, but the last part is likely the most intelligent thing written here thus far.

You’re right PB what what I thinking …sleazy crooks can’t do the right thing… sorry I had a momentary lapse of reason.

I understand your frustration PB, however......the blame falls on you. I am in the biz of MAKING money. I make no excuses and do not compare myself to the S&P or any other index. A lot of these guys are salesman. ( hence the word BROKER ) I made 20,000 cold calls, 10,000 door knocks, countless seminars, and tons of group meetings. Probably have had 500 people sit with me and maybe a total of 300 clients. ( only 100 now, for various reasons ) Why didn't everyone talk with me? I could have saved their ass! I'm not sure I believe you are a broker, you seem like a pissed off ex-client. I do have some advice though......find someone that thinks like you and work with him. That way, you play a part if it turns out to be a failure. Peace and good luck.

I left late March 2009 and spent the final 10-12 days calling every A & B client trying to use cash to buy stocks and equity etfs.  I did not tell any clients or intentionally drop hints about leaving, but many said they knew something was up.

The whole process is kinda like pledging a fraternity....3 months of hell but when it is through, you are so very glad you did it.
