What is the difference in Raymond James Financial Services and Raymond James & Associates?

Also noticed someone registered at both RJFS and Raymond James Financial Services Advisors - difference?

RJA is the employee FA firm.  RJFS is the independent channel.

I believe RJFSA is for when someone is transitioning from one to the other - not 100% sure, and I know there are more differences than those simple ones.   Merry Christmas:  http://www.raymondjames.com/advisorchoice/bus_models.asp
