I was curious in hearing your opinions on the work environment and the prospecting down there.  I really like the Boca Raton area and wondered if moving down there for work as an advisor is worth the move.

    Thanks in advance

You know there really isnt a shortage of advisors there I noticed.

However it IS true plenty of retired folks!  I think a lot of those people have been had or just been dealing with shady reps, annuity hustlers etc.   Id like to bring a fresh presence of service down there and repair the harm done by selfish advisors many of whom I have seen on this board.

I have a second home in Florida where I spend 2 months a year.  My experience is that a lot of the people where I’m at in Florida, already have advisors they are very happy with, many of them “back at home.”

But there is always opportunity wherever you are.  The question really becomes how will you develop a clientale.  Areas of retirees are seminared to death -- more plate lickers than you can imagine.

Always opportunity but I wouldnt move because you think the grass is greener, cause it isnt…I cna tell you none of teh top 100 in our firm are in S Fla, you are better off in a rural suburb somewhere. IMO
