I am trying to move a fundstratgies acct but I need to have the funds sold before the acat is started. For some reason BAC wont sell and transfer. I have a letter that the customer has signed to sell but cant get a fax or an area to call in to that will take the customers instructions. I was told if I mail in with ACAT it may never happen or take 15 days. Any Thoughts

NFS is the problem.  Surprised the call would go to a call center if it is in Fund Strat.  Have the client call to FA to sell.  We have the same problem bringing accounts in to BAI, NFS will not liquidate and transfer.

Fund strategies is a FA sold program.   There must be an FA assigned to the account.  If not , call the nmanager.  They’ll get it done.

Client only has to call the OSJ speak with the FA or any SA and they can sell it or just ask for the MD or Ops Manager.

client has 2 options.

Call the rep and INSIST the positions get sold .,or call the 800 # and have the positions sold. The 800 # is a bit more tedious due to the fact they input each position while the customer is on the phone...and yes they try to discourage the customer from selling.

This works , I HAVE DONE IT
