Here it is mid-January and they supposedly are now through the 2nd channel (whatever the hell that is). What have they been waiting for? This work was completed in September, and now more that three months later they just getting around to this stuff? There is always an excuse with this outfit. I took great delight in the fact that they had a big producer and his people walked out of a Michigan office last week. Serves the bastards right. They lie!

I took great delight as well.  Can't wait until I can punch my own hole through the prison wall.  I also know the guy and I gave him a call.  Very good conversation.  Too bad I am not in Michigan. He built a big branch and has open offices, but he says they are filling fast.  If you do know the man, it is definately worth your time to call him.

You are right about not taking their money (if offered). They will tie you down for about 10 years, and then they will cut your payout. Remember, according to the bank–you guys make way too much money…!

the manager tool shows mine as being through channel review. I expect docs in the next week.
If you could afford to do it, you should tell them nevermind you dont want it anymore.
I can afford to do it. Still have all of the original retention. It's just that they don't want to pay it, so I'm inclined to make them do it anyway. F them. They are hoping people don't do this program.
I think they would rather people sign up for the WF Cash Assistance Program

Did everyone receive their emails or are they sending in batches?

You know, someone in another of these blogs made reference to dealing with the devil. You readily take what he gives you, and then you have to deal with him (in this case for another 9 years). And, then you are at his mercy. The money is tempting, but I don’t know if I want to associate with these people for another 9 years.

Take it up front. You can keep it if you go to Finet. They are paying for your first years expenses to go independent.

take the cash

leave later

pay back a settled amount, less than what you owe

win

Me too! as soon as the check hits my account I am going to do the pro forma. That is all I have been waiting on. I can’t see a reason not to go to FINET. You keep all of your clients. You keep all retention. You get a higher payout. Seems like a no brainer. I don’t see what I am missing.

It is never ending with them. They are just an a**hole outfit through and through.

Feb 8, 2010 4:47 am

You do have to payback all outstanding loan obligation including the 2007 wach retention before you can move to finet. FYI

Feb 8, 2010 1:49 pm

You definately do not have to pay back any retention or 4Front money when you switch channels. The only thing you could lose is any deferred comp that is not payable yet and you would lose the back end of the retention that has not been paid as part of the AG- WAC merger. Allretention paid and 4Front money just gets repapered.

Did not see it on mine either, maybe we get that back when we get the extra taxes taken out next year?
