Hey - We're looking for new portfolio management software that would allow us to "buy up" to a certain percentage of client accounts, swap out one stock with another and which would keep us from incurring unnecessary capital gains.

We've been looking at Tamarac. Anybody have an opinion or recommendation?

I've been looking for the same thing. What's the cost on Tamrac?

They want $11k a year and $3500 startup costs.

Check with your custodian.  They normally have deals with companies.  I know pershing is coming out with a product that will do what you are looking for.  Do not know costs.  Pricing above for Tamarac is correct.

Good Luck

I agree with Ash, check with your custodian.  The type of trading you mention though I don't feel warrants a subscription to Tamarac (although I've heard good things about them).

The trading types you mention are pretty routine via eCustody; Trade-PMR's trading platform.  Feel free to attend a demo if you wish I host bi-weekly.

All the best to you and your firm.
