What exams to take first?

I have some free time and figure I’d start studying for my series exams before I start looking for a job in New York. Should I take the Series 65 and 63 or 66 and 63? Or all three? What other exams can I take without being sponsored that can help me in this field?
All of them are a waste of your time unless you can pass the S7 or the S6. But, if you are determined to take a test before necessary, take the 66. The 63 is going to become obsolete. If you take the 66 it is like taking the 63 and 65 combined.
Question: What if you go to NY, get a job and then find out you took the wrong test? Wouldn't it make more sense to first get a job, then worry about exams? There are a lot more things I'd rather be doing than studying securities rules and regs.Use the extra time to read some good sales books, then worry about the test when you get hired.
^ What Ice said…there is no point in studying for the 66 when the 7 is the more important part anyways. (well both are important depending on where you work but worry about the 66 after the 7).
There's nothing wrong with being prepared before you take the test, its not that much to buy a study guide anyways so you have nothing to lose besides a little bit of money and some free time that would be wasted infront of a TV or computer anyways...get Series 7 study materials and hit it hard if you're determined![quote=Spaceman Spiff]
