Ameriprise is, but more of a focus on TCC (Targeted Career Changers) vs. fresh kids. They’re also paying quite a bit more for TCC hires than the old traditional green hires I understand. Steered a former bank manager friend over there and the package is not bad at all for a guy who’s earned a decent living for many years.  Basically looking more for candidates who bring larger personal networks, business contacts, etc and have had to earn a buck a few years or more.

Started there myself two weeks ago on the TCC, it’s decent and so far I’m very happy.

I wouldn’t recommend an RIA move for an advisor who has been in the business 2 years or less. Possibly even longer LOS depending on the advisor.
