State Farm - Worth it?

I have a chance to attend an Agency Discovery Luncheon tomorrow (technically later this morning). Doesn’t seem to be as much negative vibe out there about State Farm as some of the others.
Has anyone ever been to one? Is it worth going to? What should I expect? I know there's a "meet and greet" in the beginning. Then what? Presentation? Interviews on spot? The last thing I want is to waste more time going after something that probably isn't worth it.I’m not sure about these meeting although the one positive comment I have to add is that a friend of mine who recently looked said it was “ok” but ended up going with Farmers Financial Partners, which he really likes. If you’re going the insurance route, check them both out and then decide.
You need to decide what it is that you really want to do. If you go with a company like State Farm, you will be primarily a P&C agent.
