I didn't think you'd have an answer.

Welcome back Put, however short this visit might be.
How about this one.

As originally proposed the "Consumer Telephone Protection Act"--the No Call List Idea--was going to completely forbid phone calls from brokerage houses.  You could not make a cold call--period.

Under our guidance members of Congress began to yield.  The first stop was to allow calls only to businesses--no calls to residences.

As you know we got that changed too.

How would you have done that on your own?
So what...most any homeowner(or renter) with money to invest and two brain cells to rub together has put themselves on the DNC list.

Business are hit so hard with cold calls, you have to work hard to find a way to get through the clutter.

So what did you really accomplish?
Home Officer, what specifically did you personally accomplish that would make the rest of the industry wish to erect statues in your honor, as opposed to viewing the majority of management as useless overhead?
You should prostrate yourself at the feet of those of us who take care of you.
Let's suppose you were a big hitter at UBS.

Do you suppose you'd be free to "run" your business however you wanted to?

Could someone boot Home Officer ie Put Trader.  What an idiot.

Try to find somewhere you are wanted.  Is there anywhere you are wanted?

That's exactly why I have (read my lips) ZERO interest in UBS.  I don't need their fat overhead or company restrictions.  If you offered your services to me I would politely turn them down.  I don't need you and I sure wouldn't want to pay your salary.  Find someone else to attach yourself to...you blood-sucking leech!

This is my second attempt for my S66. I missed it by 2 questions. I've been using Passperfect and Dearborn. I found Dearborn hard to read and comprehend. Been doing 200 questions per day and been getting between 70 to 80. I must pass this exam this time. I have 4 days left. Should I keep taking more practice exams? Any advice would help alot. Thank you.
Your four days are up.  Did you pass?

Also...for the former Put Trader...

My firm has me studying for the series 66.  They have a big push for wrap accounts and managed money and I only have my 63.  After 5 days of studying I took the 100 question progress test and scored a 72% (passing score).  It took me 51 minutes.  They allow 2 1/2 hours.  If you translate that to the series 7 which allows 6 hours.  Then I completed the series 7 in around 2 1/2 hours as I previously stated.  I am going to copy and paste the time and score from the Bisys online test that I took.  Hopefully it will transfer.

"Yes, you can finish the series 7 before noon if you start at 9am.  I did."

Yeah...Put.  I love how you edit posts to make them suit your needs.  Once again you failed to refute factual information.

You said that the testing times that I had previously stated were unreasonable.  I proved you wrong.  Just put extra ketchup on your crow.  It tastes better that way.

If I could change the 72 to 37 why was it not possible for you to change a 52 to a 72?

51 minutes = 100 questions = 72%

Take your MBA and calculate comparable time per question to the series 7.  That would be 250 questions in less than 2 hours and 15 minutes.  My actual time on the series 7 was around 2 1/2 hours and I scored a 83 (passed back in 10/2001).

The score and time posted above is for studying for the series 66.

Your serve Put.

Hi JackieNY
Did you pass the S66? How was it? I am taking the test on August1st. It's my 2nd attempt as well. This time, I am getting 80s on the practice Dearborn tests. Last time I used STC and found the tests useless.

Any advise? Thanks in advance!!!

Jul 29, 2005 5:04 pm

Series 6, 26, 63?  Things that are taken by insurance types--use Dearborn, their strength is with the insurance companies.

Series 4, 7, 9/10, 24, 27 and the high numbers for tradders, etc?  Tests that are taken by stock brokers, use STC they are the "elephant in the room" in New York because they are the best.

Odd things like Series 65 and 66?  A guy named Edward Fleur used to be a bid deal with Dearborn.  His own firm has been around at least ten years and is called Pass Perfect.  For some reason we have had excellent results with his 65 and 66 but not with the others.

Fire Solutions and anything else?  Too new or too small for one of my associates--Traci Test--to know about.

The curious thing is her insistance that for Series 65 and 66 the results really favor Pass Perfect.

July 28,

Thanks so much; The info you gave is very usefull.

Jul 29, 2005 5:15 pm

I'm embarrassed to say that I failed twice now. 1st attempt 69, 2nd attempt 69. Now I gotta wait another month. I should go shoot myself.

I've been studying alot but I work full-time right now. I'm planning to take a week off the day before the exam so I won't fail this time. I've been using Dearborn and Passperfect online. Passperfect online is an excellent material.

In my opinion, taking practice exams don't help much. The reason why is that I maybe saw less than 30 questions that were similar to the actual exam. Waste of F$#ing time. I think the key is to understand the concept and to know how to use them. I've been reading alot more than just taking exams. I've walked into the exam getting between 80-90 on my practice exams and I still came short. But again, everyone is different. I know some people who were getting low 70's on their practice exam and ended up with a high 80. Good luck
