Just call your development leader at Jones and ask.

Jesus Christ, do people have any initiative?  Why the @#$% would you come on a RegRep forum to ask that question???!  What would you do if chat rooms didn't exist?  Write a letter?   Here's the deal.  You need a connection for your tablet PC while you're studying.  You need any phone you feel like using to make calls (conf calls, etc.).  Once you are registered (now that seems like a big assumption), they will pay for you to have a business phone line installed at your home to call clients and be your "registered" phone number with the SEC/FINRA.   Seriously, no offense, but I can't understand how some people manage in their daily lives when they come on here and ask some of the dumbest questions that can quickly be answered with a phone call to the person that said they would answer these type of questions for you.  And don't say you don't know who to call.  If Jones could lay out the training process any easier for you, they would actually have to send people to take your exams for you.
Geez........you must really have your panties in a wad or got up on the wrong side of the bed today. What's the problem with 912's post. It was a question for other EJ newbies anyway. Why not be helpful than critical of the post. I'd almost think that you might even think than you own this site.   Believe me, I have seen numerous questions asked on this site that anyone in their right mind wouldn't even need to ask in this forum, but that's OK. People just like to jack their jaw.  For example here's is just one of yours - - I found too many to list them all: B24 Members Profile Send Private Message Find Members Posts Add to Buddy List

Posted: Oct. 08 2008 at 3:49pm Anybody know much about the new fund they are coming out with - "International Growth & Income"?  Not sure how it would differ from Capital World Growth & Income, other than maybe being EX-USA?  Just a pure international play.      Why not just call AF and ask them, rather than waste time with the post in this forum?    Catch the drift? You really must had a bad month pushing products. Chill a little!
Because I already know what the salespeople at American Funds will tell me, numbnuts.  I was curious what other people had heard or thought.  I was looking for opinion, not fact.  If I wanted to know the ticker symbol or expense ratio, I would call AF and ask.  Just like if I wanted to know which toner cartridge to order for my printer, I would call Jones helpdesk and ask, not come on here and ask strangers.   Did you actually pour through all my posts to find that little gem?
Owned.   By the way, what happened with the formatting on that? I am pretty sure we would have understood what you meant if you just copied the quote and attributed it to B24.

wind- unless you are just trying to rattle some cages around here for fun, you might want to consider backing off just a little bit.  Or you can recreate yourself (new screen name) and just start over.  But don’t expect anything different than what you’ve been getting if you don’t.

Dianna,

Open up your wallet and pay to get the phone line installed. It is the first of many expenses you will incur that will never be reimbursed and also why you will not see a 40% cut for at least 3 years.

Wind, if you truly want to come on this forum looking for advice/infomation/exchange of ideas, as you say you do, take Spiff’s.  You come across very abrasive.  I know you got your feathers ruflled early on, I was one that questioned you and you got defensive with, but you’ll be starting every conversation as the guy who’s pissed off because there is nothing but negativity on the forum and nobody believed him.  I know you feel as though you’ve done nothing wrong and I’m not saying that you did but you’ve been tagged as braggadocious and petulant.  If you refuse to “re-invent” yourself, as Spiff said, expect nothing less than what you have been getting.  I don’t know why you would want those kinds of reactions to your posts.

  Good Luck to you!

Every f*ing thread that the dude posts in ends up with him turning the post into a thread about himself and how he keeps getting st on.  How are you possibly closing any kind of biz as a newbie marketing all day, closing biz, doing admin paperwork, making sure to do compliance, being on conference calls/branch meetings, and raising a family when you spend 4 hours a day on here complaining about how a bunch of screennames make fun of you?

Wind, you do care about people say about you or you wouldn't keep trying to defend yourself.  Once again, we have another post where you are talking about yourself.   Thanks for sharing that you are a nice guy and not abrasive and you keep a strict schedule and you like long walks on the beach.

You should switch names.  It's not about you getting us to quit.  It's about the fact that you have already been outed.  Posting on here when people know who you are could cost you your career.  You are showing a lack of common sense.

Wind, I was wrong.  On page 13, paragraph 4, subsection 3 it says, “It’s ok to post on a board that the public can access and talk about Jones in an anonymous fashion after being outed.”

Windy, you were given sound advice and STILL want to argue?  Good grief man.

It’s this never stop trying attitude that creates business for Windy. Image… You open your front door and there Windy stands going on like he does on this forum. I bet people are thinking one of two things.

1) This guy is persistant- I want him to help me 2) This guy won't shut up- If I give you my statements will you leave   Either way, persistance will pay off in the end. If he won't give up on these threads, I''m sure he will not give up gathering assets.   As for the phone line question..... Don't pay for anything out of your pocket unless absolutly neccessary. EJ will have a business line installed for you around KYC.

Wind - you can post all day long on this forum if you want.  Says so on Jonesnet.  Search for “electronics communications policy” and you’ll find that it says you can participate, but to remember that your posting represents EDJ.  Meaning don’t be a jerk.  It specifically references the Registered Rep forums and says it’s OK to post here.
