Much less whined about not getting paid while on vacation.

When your dentist goes on vacation who pays him?  How about a lawyer?  An accountant in private practice?

Only drones expect a paid vacation.

The advice to not even bother to try is 100% accurate--this business is not designed for the type of person who should be employed by government.

You never use the word government worker or work for government because neither is accurate--government employs and those who are employed are employed.  Nobody actually works.

Newbie-  When you were in "Upper Middle Management" at the "National Wirehouse" were you provided paid vacation?

You betcha Red Ryder--six weeks of it.

That is, of course, until the firm finally wised up under Purcell and made the vacation permanent.

Yep, and this forum now has the brightest mind in the securities industry as its resident expert.  The markets are now on the verge of collapse due to his exit.  His unparalleled service to the industry have provided support to financial markets preventing another crash like in 1929.

Nah, it's way too big for one man.

I don't think I'm the brightest mind in the industry--that would be arrogant.

I'm in the top ten, maybe even the top five.

LOL...The Gong Show is the only place where you'd make the top half of anything.

Young man, what do YOU bring to the table? All I see from you is a self-centered concern about what others will do for YOU. To them, you're just another snot-nosed punk who just finished college and thinks he has something to offer the world. People like you are a dime a dozen.

Take your dime and get to work.

Hello Knucklehead.  Thanks so much for contributing your share of ignorance to my forum experience.  Straight foward responses that were given to me before I have absolutely no problem with, but if you have no grounds to warrant condescending and judgmental remarks poorly reflects on yourself.

But hey, if your going to be a jerk in order to feel marginally better about yourself to compensate for your short comings go ahead. Also, let me be the first to congratulate you on being the first to win the dick award.  Anyway, to answer your question, if my employers thought that I was

"just another snot-nosed punk who just finished college and thinks he has something to offer the world"

I don't think they would have hired me.  Futhermore, I was NEVER arrogant in my postings saying that any firm would be lucky to have me and all I had to offer.  I was outright honest in telling everyone that I don't have brokerage experience, but enough experience to start out in the field.  YOU should pay attention more to reading the postings before you comment.  Because now I am stuck with the burden to defend myself and waste a keystroke on your ignorant responses.

To those who expressed their criticism like professionals giving advice to rookies, much appreciated.  Afterall, this section of the forum is dedicated to helping out rookies rather than haze them correct?
