hi, I’m graduating with a degree in finance in a couple of weeks, and have secured an offer at Ameriprise. I was excited at first but got to reading up on quality of life there and am having second thoughts. I know one guy who made 100+ his first year but quit because he couldn’t stand the schedule and other things.

I have seen a bunch about ed jones on here but not ameriprise. can anyone recommend or advise against it?

thanks

Um, actually A LOT has been mentioned Ameriprise.  I hope you like to fish from bowls.

"Quality of Life" is earned not given.   To be successful in any endeavor, you must be willing to pay a price.   It sounds as if you have a problem with the industry and not Ameriprise.

With all companies, you will be overworked and underpaid.   It is the quickest way to success.

Nothing is wrong with wanting a 40 hour work week, but it does mean that you are employee material instead of employer material.   You need the employer mentality to succeed in this business.
