Does anyone know the base salaries that Morgan Stanley Smith Barney is offering these days? I know they are having a huge push to hire and I have an interview next week. I am pretty confident but I do not want to sound to aggressive when discussing base salary. Any FA trainees that were just hired on have any comments?

Depends on your location, cost of living, branch budget, etc. The lower salary the more wiggle room you’ll have as far as gradually building your business.

  Assuming $50k salary, you'll need and annual production of at least $135K just to recreate that salary. Ceratainly do-able in two years but no easy task, especially in this market.
