Merrill Lynch is hiring in this town.  I went for round one of interviews.  Went well.  Despite my inexperience in financial services (i.e. undeveloped book of clients), my previous corporate background and accomplishments got their attention.
They are looking to fill positions in their “call center”.
+  Better pay.  No cold calling.  Advancement.
-   Call center work shifts.  Little flexibility.  No real clients.
Anyone here with experience and advice?  What is the real scoop?

Avoid.  Might as well work at Schwab.

Almost everyone that reads this site is a broker, not call center rep, I think you will get limited answers from this forum.  If you want high compensation and flexibility in this business you have to produce, which means work as an FA.
