I passed the 7 and 66 a couple weeks back, and have a month to study for the Life and Health Insurance Exam in California. I've heard it's a pretty straightforward test, but does anyone have any suggestions on some good study materials or services?

Anything helps, thanks!

I used AD Banker’s State specific self study course - the online exam questions are terrific. For general info, I’d also recommend the Exam Cram book (amazon). The exam is challenging - you really do need to study - don’t be fooled into thinking it’s a cake walk - That’s not the case at all.

I just passed using TesTeachersonlin state specific online course. It was great the test was easy… Anyone interested I have course materials and 50 days left on subscription for half off.

My firm gave me 4 days to study!!! I’m supposed to take the test Friday, but there’s no way I’ll be ready. I’m moving it back.

As far as difficulty, I’ve heard some say it’s a walk in the park compared to the 7 and 66, but omg this is a ton of study material (I’m on the different types of health plans right now and it’s taken a full day). Using examfx to study, and I’m hoping the real test is much less in depth.

Thoughts???

My co-workers said ExamFX was much better than AD Banker. Depends on what state you take the test in, but here in California you only need a 60% or better to pass.

I think you’ll be fine with ExamFX, at least most people at my firm were. I passed with AD Banker, but wasn’t happy with the practice material.

I’m in MS, and you need a 70 to pass. Still not bad, but the only thing that sucks is I’ll now be taking the test in 3 weeks instead of this Friday, so I hope I’m not rusty.
