I know this will upset some of you diehards but I don’t really give a *^&(.
This is just all to funny.

I was hired with jones back in Sep. Scheduled to start in Nov. I came to the realization that I wasn’t ready to enter the “new” market and withdrew from the hiring process before training started.

Months later, and with a plan that adressed the big issues at the time, I decided to call Jonsie up…

They actually turned me down, without any interview… So here I am not at all bothered, but laughing at these “recruiters.”

I have know doubt in my mind this is what I’m going to do. It may take may months or years even, but one day I will likely look back at this moment and laugh at the dummies who passed me up… LOL

I think they were mad that I turned them down and were emotional attached to our transaction… wtf.

Okay.

Do you want a dollar?  Go get a job.

I don’t think this is a Jones specific action. Why would any company want a guy that will withdraw his commitment at will?

Best of luck to you, but accepting an offer of employment, only to withdraw will be looked down upon by all employers, not just Jones. Good luck with your search.

[/quote]    Amazing!   As for you, not-even-newbie...I'm sure that a firm that sees thousands of brokers not make it a year will look back and shed quite a few tears for some  that couldn't stomach a tough market, and your would-be clients are surely going to be disappointed that they will never see your "plan". If your "plan" is so great, maybe you should call up Secretary Timmy and lend him a hand...

My guess is that the growth leader had to pull some strings with the recruiter to get you hired in the first place.  Once you withdrew, you did yourself and the firm a favor.  Good luck in the “new” job market, it’s tough right now too.

I think I speak for everybody when I say that we do have our doubts. Your attitude speaks volumes.

Yea, it cant get much worse than getting turned down by Jones… agreed. LOL.
I’m still pursuing the job nonetheless. I’m meeting with FA’s in the area in the coming weeks.

Nowhere, its not about my ability to stomach anything. Its about increasing my chances of survival by knowing all the variables involved and using them to my benefit.
