Does anyone on this forum know anything about the Internal Wholesaler career path? Compensation?

I can't verify this as 100% accurate, but I've heard about 50k base with good ones making between 20-40k bonus depending upon the company.

Career path is somewhat limited.  If you're not good, you're pretty much stuck.  If you're good, you may be able to move into an external wholesaler or another home office marketing role.

IMO, mutual fund wholesalers have seen their best days.  With the rise in ETF business, if I were going to be a wholesaler, that is where I would want to be.  A little more uphill now, but the future is alot more promising.
