Hey folks,

I just wanted to say hello to everyone, and how I am excited to be a registered rep(taking my S6 on thursday), I know we have a few great minds in here I just wanted to say thanks for all your future feedbacks and for contributing to this forum.

I have a few quick questions for you folks:

as registered reps can we legally called ourselves Financial Advisors?
or do we have to be CFP qualified in order to do so?

How can you registered I as an RIA?

Cue, with respect to your questions, you’re going to have to let yourself

be guided by your compliance department for those answers. I will say

that you should build a book first, then worry about becoming a

Registered Investment Advisor. Further, there are differing schools of

thought regarding the CFP. Personally, I went the CFA route but that’s a

personal choice. I think you should wait while, again building a book,

before taking on that task.

Just my $.02…

I think this is the funniest thread I've read on these forums.
