What are some of the ticket charges b/d are getting these days?  We are at $24 for a stock trade, $25 + 2.5/contract on options, and $35 for an assigned option.  Basically have to go into a covered call situation assuming a minimum of $60 in ticket charges.  It seems too high.

That does seem a bit high, though I know that most firms have a grid as far as ticket charges goes. This means the higher the volume the lower the ticket charges. Our firm for example offers ticket charges between $14 and $18 depending on volume for stock. I would look around and see what firms are offering as far as ticket charges goes if you are unhappy with your current ticket structure.
