There are good days and bad days

in this biz... I try to remember the good and forget the bad. I started building a position over the last 2 weeks in a few stocks for my clients. Mostly DJ stuff, but also bought a bunch of BBY.

Today will be a good day for me... I hope others have one as well. You take the good w/ the bad.
What have been some good days for you guys...??? Opened a big client, trades, etc...
Showed up at the office at noon and worked to four thirty, finally getting some marketing stuff in place and a little service. Part-time assistant doing well with marketing program and compliance stuff and easy service issues.
Spent time doing household stuff, cooking and cleaning for family, golf, hiking, riding bike during beautiful fall weather. Had balance in my life.
Have to take a guy out to lunch today and give him some choices ( continue with C shares, ETFs in wrap, or GMWB annuity). Gather data about his big picture goals, assets, insurance, retirement timeframe.)
Need to put in more hours now that summer is over.
Not bragging, just reminding us why it's worth busting your butt in the early years.

AWESOME BBY set the tone of the day. Brake out those tight trailing STOPS ASAP. Chicken little is a couple days out.
good days and bad? No bad days, first off.
Best 24 hour period ever? Last Thursday, 5 PM to Friday, 5 PM last week. Pretty much, got commitments to bringing in new assets sufficient to increase my AUM by 35%, through four different relationships. You might say that was a good day.
Saturday I pitched a deal to another FA to join me.
Today, I'll get five appointments to sell insurance that should net me $30000 in commissions (I've already got commitments on $25000 of that).
Tuesday, a great client and I are going to spend the day on his 40 foot sailboat, and I'm hoping that day ends with his bringing me the other half of his accounts from LPL. Nice way to pick up a half million in assets, but either way, it's going to be a great day.
Yeah, no real bad days. Just some days are better than others.
