Does anyone have any first hand knowledge of what Jones will do when an advisor leaves for another (local) firm? If I'm past my 36 months of selling, do they have any legal recourse? Won't they just send some pimple faced kid from offices in transistion to take over the office? How nasty would they be?

. Is there a non compete/solicitation letter I signed and forgot about?

They are actually quite pleasant. They send a tombstone letter with your new info... They also send you a copy of your contract with a reminder letter of your non-solicitation. If you dont break the rules you will never hear from them after the exit interview...

What rules could I break?

You can not directly or indirectly solicit your (their) clients for a year. And trust me the contract reads the clients belong to Jones...
