My Firm was bought by Big Bad Wachovia and I am miserable.

They take more and more from both me and my clients.

Oh yea, plus they are liars.

I want to go out on my own .

Who do you recommend that I consider?

Thanks

The quality of any responses will be a function of the information you provide.  Ice has already given you the general information, and unless you offer more specifics there's not much more that anyone else can add.  Your question as is sounds a bit like simply saying you're hungry and want to go out to eat - what do you recommend?   Three questions to help get you started, if you want relevant feedback:   1. What exactly do you mean by "going out on your own?"  This means different things to different people.  What does it mean to you? 2. What is the main thing you hope to achieve by making this change?  Not just why you don't like Wachovia/Wells, but what you hope to find wherever you go. 3. Describe your current book and experience in more detail, i.e. approximate production/aum & source of production.

I work for a regional, self clearing privately held indy bd that has been picking up several wachovia and other wire house guys over the last 9 months or so. We offer very competitive transition packages and platforms. You can send me a PM if you interested.
