No one can give you accurate advice on this forum unless they know your family situation and the actual premium numbers for the individual/family plans in your state.  HSAs can be great even for families with young kids, or they could be horrible, it simply comes down to the numbers.

Hey, everyone I know is on either Medicare, Medicaid or Medigap. So, I don't have any idea regarding COBRA. But Medicare plans are affordable and cheaper and you said you don't want to spend more so you can look for Medicare information related sites such as medicare.gov. Then see what type of plans fits your budget and requirements and if you are interested then look for related companies and agencies that cover your city and state. I know few like Denial solutions, the Kaiser group, https://www.thehealthexchangeagency.com/ you can look for more on the internet.
