I've read multiple times in various threads about a service through your local library of a contact database. I want to say its called something USA but I cant quite remember the name.

Can someone please tell me whats the name of this service please so I can call my local library and see if they offer this. Thanks in advance guys as I'm broke and cant afford a leads list

I've scrubbed about 37 pages (925 phone numbers) of Reference USA's contacts within 3 zip codes and salary criteria of my choosing. I have exactly 100 callable numbers out of the 925. Is this typical to get only 10.8% of the numbers to not be on the National Do Not Call List? That's not even counting numbers that are disconnected as I haven't called them yet to find out.

Not to mention to scrub all those literally took me 5 hours with breaks and my other general duties at work.

Anybody have any other effective ways of obtaining scrubbed numbers to call without this lengthy process? Again I'm broke and the many reps I've spoke to said buying lists aren't all that its cracked up to be....

Thanks in advance guys!!!

When your buying a list your only really paying for callable, scrubbed numbers anyway...I see it as a time saver if anything.

If it fits your prospecting plan, call on businesses in ref usa as they do not need to be scrubbed.  Saves a ton of time, and in a few hours you can put together a list of a few thousand callable numbers...just keep copying and pasting to an excel sheet as you download(they only allow you to download 50 at a time) .

ComBroker

This may sound dumb but better for me to ask then to not know. What am I calling on when calling a business? Am I calling to try and talk to the owners for personal business or am I calling to find out who's in charge of the companies 401k plan? Or what?

I work for an indy and have little experience prospecting straight securities business. Before this I was in the banking channel and was dually employed there with more of my attention on the retail banking side then the brokerage side.

ANY HELP WILL HELP!!!
