Wanted to start something for people who are on the verge on quitting because of lack of business…

What is working to bring in new clients?

Maybe I’m missing something.  This seems like the best year that I’ve ever seen to bring in business.  It may not be the best year to make the most money.   We haven’t seen BondGuy in awhile.  I think that he understands this and is busting his rear.

The work that we do this year will pay off in spades in the future.  This is a "build your business" year and not a "make money today" year.  That's how I'm treating it, but I actually think that I'll make more money this year.   Translation: This is a year to concentrate on bringing in more high quality clients instead of maximizing profit.

Your racism is offensive.

Talking to people about what you do, with conviction. The same thing that brought in business in Feb 07 is bringing in business in Feb 09.

So, I open an account this AM. Here's the story.   Had breakfast with an attorney Thursday AM. She has lunch with a client that same day. Refers her client to me. Client comes in this AM, opens accounts for 250k coming out of divorce in 10 minutes. Why? 1. Strong referral 2. Strong referral because Atty has strong rapport and belief in me & what I do 3. Attorney met me because someone else she is working with referred them to me to have breakfast. 4. The person who referred the attorney is a client. 5. The client is someone I met from.....(ok - you guys HAVE to know this is coming, right? You must...you ought to - anyone want to guess...) A cold call.
