I am a advisor with quite a few years in the biz, yet have never done a seminar. I would like to do one, but I don't think my seminar skill sets are up to par.

I've been hearing Successful Money Management Seminars and Emerald are good companies, to help advisors with your seminar presentation. Any thoughts?

I’ve used the 'Six Mistakes" seminar from NF for the last few yrs w/

success and more recently the IRA seminar from MDProducer.

I would consider the invite and the “copy” to be important in getting

people there. That’s primary. From there How you run the presentation

with a decent pwr point presentation is important bu not as critical as

then your close.

That is getting appointments at the seminar.

A good resource is “The Emotional Dynamic” great book written for

finncial advisors doing seminars. Another great step is to join

toastmaster’s for the ROI the benefits are priceless for the confidence

you’ll gain with your public speaking.

1.forget NF it's a joke go to http://www.foremostadvice.com and you can buy a ppt of your choice $150 and if you want a great news letter for about 350. <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

2. make sure you have a cd player with music playing about 30 min before <?:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />the meeting starts.

3. before you start the meeting hand out a sheet that allows the participant to critique your presentation. Promise the participants if they ask you to contact them it will be within 24 hours if they don’t asked to be contacted you will not call them.

5. you can do the mass mail thing and follow up by phone you will find that most of the people who come are going to be within a 7 mile radius of the place you pick to have the meeting so rotate locations remember this and you will have much better results.

Gentlemen,

Go to all of your vendor sites, Manuluff, Metwife, Ameridum funds, etc.  And don't forget Fuhdelititty.  Look at their seminars.  Copy them, revise them, rent a brain.  It's not the French Foreign Language.  C'est Pa?

Write your own seminar, send it to your compliance jerk 6 or 7 weeks in advance, listen to his screams and yells and then go do your own seminar, any way you like if you’ve got the kolaches.  Can anyone say “Power Point”?
