Looking to purchase a small practice ($5-15Mil assets) talked to FP Transitions(as recommended by my b/d) but they had nothing.

Anyone know of any other way to find practices for sale, other than calling everyone in the local area and asking?

Do you have an Estate Planning Council in your area?  Lot of advisors in those groups.  I would find a way to start networking with other advisors in your area, as well as trust officers, CPA's, etc.  If you start asking the questions, you might find that people are "casually" planning an exit strategy.

Question - why would you only want to buy a 5-15mm book?  Doesn't seem worth it.

Easier to integrate… Also if i can 50-150K gross, it seems worth it to me…
