Are Martin Shafiroff, Ira Walker and all your other friends still in the business?

Not my friends

Yes they are all still in the business. Why wouldn't they be?   The only person that i've mentioned by name in my posts that is no longer in the business was mega producer Bill Tennison. Note the past tense. Bill died three years ago - with his cold calling boots on.

I know, but you have been around to actually know them or of them… I was just curious if they were done with the business(got out before the collapse) or if they are still plugging away… Shafiroff has to be mid 60’s by now… Where is he now that Lehman is gone Barclays?

I dont’t know any of these guys personally. I mention them only because they all built their businesses on cold calling and that they are in the public domain with their business building systems, scripts etc.

Walker is with UBS. Marty? I read that he was involved in the negotiations about the future direction of the retail sales force at the Bros.   As for my friends in the biz, their production ranges from about 500k to over 2.5 million. I can point to them as examples of hard working advisors. However, there is little or nothing in the public domain about them that a rookie or other interested advisor could research.

BondGuy, as a coldcaller broker, I always find your postings very inspirational.
