BG, I was up in S. Jersey visiting family this summer.  We went fishing in the Delaware Bay, hoping to catch some big drum fish and striper, but all we caught was a bunch of little sharks.  It was still a lot of fun.  My uncle up there just sent me a picture last week of a huge striper he caught.  Last year we caught some good flounder up there in some shallow areas.

Not a toy, but the S. Jersey reference made me remember fondly something else on my wish list…An extra large pepperoni/extra cheese pizza from Bruni’s in Hammonton.  Or an honest to goodness pizza steak with fried peppers and onions from Brother’s.  Hard to get the real stuff in FL.

I wish I had a desire for “stuff” but unfortunately I’ve never enjoyed it beyond the purchase(PAW vs UAW’s “Millionaire Next Door”).  My wishlist would include more income producing assets like more tillable farm ground, a car wash, storage buildings and currently on my radar, wholesale goods distribution company. Sorry about the downer…I like my used 03 Tahoe LT and my wifes 03 Toyota Camry.  Wait…I did own a 66 mustang coupe with a 289, auto but sold before leaving the military.  I guess it would be nice to own a 65 Fastback, all original or a 62 split window Corvette Stingray.

You should add trailer park to your wish list.  Not trying to be funny, but I know several folks who own them and they're incrediby profitable.  You could probably make more money in a trailer park, sorry, prefab home development, than you can planting beans.

Probably, but I’m not into hanging with trailer park folk, just not my cup of tea.  Lets talk a little on what was a great investment 20 years ago vs today.  Carwashes, trailer parks, hardware stores, restaurants, bowling alleys, golf courses.  Used to be, a guy could invest some money, pay off fairly quickly and either 1. enjoy a great return on investment, or 2. expand his business.  Today with a lack of good quality jobs (manufacturing) vs 30yrs ago, more and more people are investing/starting the mentioned companies.  They are not investments per se…but a JOB.  So…if you can make 50k owning a carwash your happy…but it takes a tremendous amount of time to payoff because your also trying to live on the thing.  So you have all these traditional businesses competing for the same dollars but struggling bigtime. Not reinvesting in the business or expanding because your cash flow is ugly.  The bowling alley runs down, equipment gets old and someone puts a new one down the street. Same with a nice 9 or 18 hole golf course…you have to cut your fees to almost nothing to compete with the course 2 miles down the road charging 15$ for 18holes and a cart.

We need to get back to manufacturing our own stuff so people can make a decent living and people like me can own several carwashes and make a ton of dough...

That gives me a great idea, Trailer Park Owner/Record Label (See Kid Rock, Eminem)/Jerry Springer Talent Scout.

On a serious note, I'd like to have a few WalGreens or RiteAid NNN properties paid for.

Crack Cocaine. It has nice margins and the demand for it is insatiable. No income taxes.

Hank, crack is wack.  Mobile Meth labs are the latest hit (no pun intended).  I'm thinking of starting a franchise pawn shop/meth dealership.  I think it will go over well.

Dated a girl years ago whose dad co-owned a trailer park and a few duplexes.  He made enough as a partial owner of a park that his wife did not have to work and he sent his kids to private schools without ever taking on any debt.

I have to admit, I have checked out buying one but have not pulled the trigger, yet.   As for toys, I would simply like a nice vacation.

Spiff,  haha, good idea.  Maybe we could go in on that.  We could get an ice cream truck to drive around the park and sell out of.

I’ll buy the trailer park, you can produce and sell the meth.  That way if you get caught I can deny any knowledge of the situation, act appalled, then get a new partner to pick up where you left off.  It’s perfect.

Spiff,   I think I may have underestimated you.  Kudos, my man.
