My secret ML source has handed me some information on Blarmston (a well-respected poster on these boards), who has been missing for months. Rumors swirled that he left ML and had hooked-up with Paris Hilton, while a campaign adviser to Obama. Paris apparently dumped him, while trying to go straight and drug-free. Obama fired him after reports that he was close to jumping over to the Nader presidential campaign. However, those reports weren’t true.

Desperate for work, he now works as a pilot for some German airline company. But the outlook for that doesn't look good, as the following video link shows him trying to land a plane (click on the link, type-in "Terrifying Experience" in the search function, then hold-on):   http://www.foxnews.com/video/index.html

Looked like a good approach until a few seconds until touch down. The guy is crabbbed into the wind and it looks like a gust pushed him to the downwind side of the runway.  IMHO, he should have aborted the approach as he was clearly ,at that point, behind the airplane. Still, watching the vid one can see he lowers the right wing to attempt to get recentered. At the point of touch down when he goes to crab out its all right aileron to counteract the wind and big left rudder to align the plane with the centerline of the runway. He got the rudder in but was way slow on aileron. But far be it from me to criticize. Looked like tough conditions. I’m sure the guy in charge of cleaning all those seat cushions has a different opinion.
