Last year I took on a part time job while at firm “A” at night in an
unrelated industry. I did not tell firm “A”. I then went to work for
firm “B” and continued this part time night job without telling firm
"B" or disclosing on my U-4… Firm “B” was a joke and I left. I now
have several offers on the table which is a good thing. A background
check summary was sent to me be one of the firms because they screwed
up with the dates on my prior start/end dates for a previous firm.
While reviewing the report- to my horror was this part time job… If
they don’t bring it up, should I not bring it up? Do I need to list in
on my U-4 for whatever firm I wind up starting with? Could I get in
trouble for not reporting it on my U-4 before? I’m in a panic here and
when you think of it, the whole idea is ridiculous!! That I wanted to
remain in the industry and work part-time at night in an unrelated
industry to help pay some unexpected expenses… Does this industry
want brokers that are not yet established to starve- or to go into
bankruptsy if something unexpected or unfortunate occurs with them or
their family? What should I do???

You're asking legal questions best answered by a securities attorney.

However, if you don't want to shell-out for an attorney's advice (big mistake in my opinion), then disclose everything. Because they'll find out anyway.
