I have been married almost 5 yrs to US spouse, green card more than 3 yrs, sometime in 2006 spouse and I went through marital difficulties, he took me to court for slappinghim, which in fact I did after he assaulted me 1st. We reconciled ,case never went to trial or anything like that, the judge recommended I apply for expunging of record after case was dismissed. I want to apply for my citizenship but am not sure what box to check on the form re arrest I was never arrested, both of us charged each other w/assault. Will this impact on the application negatively?
