I am licensed as an insurance agent, and formerly held securities licenses.  However, I no longer actively sell anything.  Instead, I work on staff of a professional association and oversee professional development of insurance agents.  Quite a few of those agents also hold securities licenses, typically a Series 6.

I am interested in links to sites that would have case studies, stories or discussions regarding ethical sales of annuities and/or life insurance.  I want to use the material for ethics classes that I teach.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Google “ethical case studies on insurance business”.  You’ll have all you need.

I think there are 3 since 1937…

Thanks.  I did that already but most of the hits are of little or no value.  More often than not they don’t relate specifically to case studies or scenarios  involving ethical sales of life insurance or annuities.

Any other thoughts?  Thanks for your input!

Look through FINRA bulletins.

Look at this site.  You owe me BIG!

I know you probably won't believe this but I was at the IRMI site and actually was reading that same story just a few hours ago!  It's pretty lengthy for my classes but I'm sure I can condense it enough that it might still work.

Thanks for the your help!

Jeez!  Couldn’t you just lie to me and say “thanks”???
