With its potential to raise after-tax return, why is this subject not discussed more frequently?
I agree it's an important concept, but it's pretty basic. I don't think too many advisors have questions about it.
Harvest away! Especially with mutual funds since there is no cost if you just do exchanges in the same fund family.
It's because most of us are so good at what we do that we don't have any losses to harvest.
