Louboutinworld - 180 posts all about shoes

cyrusrayenz - 1 post that proved that English is not his native language

Matthewop - 29 posts about TV shows, I assume to entice me to buy the DVD.

Taniya I - 1 post about zombie viruses and social networking.  I think my sex ed teacher warned me about those in High School.

How hard is it really to monitor a site like this one for spambots?  Evidenlty the RR site is well known in Spamworld for being an easy target.  Perhaps the moderators should consider using some different software.

I'm with you. There seems to be no effort to control this. The Bots are not even having their accounts pulled?

I'm officially sick of this. If it continues, I'll find an even better way to waste my time.

Kristen - thanks for the heads up.  I'll try to figure out a way to mark as offensive all 180 posts that louboutinworld put on the site this morning.  (Here is where I used to be able to put up the winking emoticon that would signal sarcasm to the reader of my post).

Whatever you folks can do to make it stop, or drastically slow down, would be great.

You can't be serious, Kristen. Full time? Really?  I can read every new post here in less than 20mins a day.  If you had a tech guy dedicate 30mins a week to this site it would solve the issue.

I have used the "flag as offensive" option several times and it has obviously been ignored.

I guessed no one was left. Has Penton Media finally come out of BK and decided to hire people? I doubt it.

We don't have any spambots on the other site.  Well except for MLgone.

That's because you have more than one moderator and I'm going to guess the software to keep them out.

I did get notified that RR has a guy working on this problem for us.  I thought that was a nice touch to reach out to me.  I kind of expected to pull up RR this afternoon and see posts by louboutinsworld and matthewop gone.  No such luck.  I guess he's still working on it.

I hope a couple of "infrastructure" people and not all "sales" people

Is there not an option to delete a user ID and all their posts? This new software is somewhat limited I am guessing. We don't even have an option to search a "members list" to PM members that have not posted in a long time but still may come online to read from time to time.

Every loser over there has 1000s of posts - all eight of you.  Plenty of spambots.  I visited was not impressed.

RR ... well done

Kudos to Jpavlick.  It was great to open up the forums this morning and not see any posts from the spambots.

Keep up the good work.
