I have one of those lives.

I must admit though, I feel much better after giving up hope.     Stok

Sure, we all have those days....but then...a walk in wants to do business with you because of his relationship with the credit union. You talk for a while and then he lays it out...$14 million. That's what makes this business so much fun. Every day is different...some suck and some are OMG!!!!!!

You did NOT get a $14mm walk in did you?  Please tell!

Unless it is one of those Nigerian warlord scenarios…yes. I will know for sure on Monday.

I wish you well on that one, but it sounds fishy as hell to me.  Let us know if your warlord has the cash, and if he does, congratulations...you've just made your year...

If you can charge him 1% a year, perhaps you made this year, and the next, and the next, …

Jan 20, 2009 11:16 pm

So, Credit whatever happened with your $14 million guy?

$14MM accounts don't pay 1%... ... ...[/quote]   What does a $14MM account pay?  Wait, I know.  Zero.  14 different fund companies all at NAV.   Then $35K in trails every year after that.

Just another variable of the Nigerian Warlord scam. I called the bank in London he was “working” with and it was definitely a scam. At least I stopped the guy from sending them $4300 to process the transfer.

To bad it did not pan out. The real reason I posted is I just love your tag line. " Always trust your instincts...Never let the scent of the commission overpower the stench of the client!"
