This guy has gotta go!

Please do NOT respond to his posts as he is just yanking our collective "chain".

From the number posts and photos...unfortunately in a moment of weakness I've looked at them, it is obvious that this person can't be a broker yet has advice on almost every matter and is posting nearly around the clock. Probably because his wife and pooch no longer want to deal with him so why should we. There's no mention of kids perhaps they've forsaken him too!

If you posters from the "dark side" (a.k.a. "failures" from ej) have noticed that there haven't been any posts about ej since this venomous "know-it-all" started posting.  Could this be co-operative effort from St.L to keep the bad stuff off this board?

Let's not feed his ego anymore. Please  try to restrain yourselves from responding to his pathetic drivel.

What is the name of the firm in New York you’ve never heard of?

who cares old guy.

how come you don't share your wisdom with your family....or are they tired of you too?

Aug 9, 2006 2:05 pm

No, you’re not. There are a few people on here with whom I have good

relationships and know well (one in fact passed away a few weeks ago). I’m

inquisitive by nature. If anyone had their real name listed, I would look them

up, too. Don’t get too excited, chief.

Are you not curious about the firms in New York?  Do you already know everything there is to know?

I think anonymity is nice, so I won't go there.  I'm not saying that if you indeed work there that it's not a bad place, I just haven't heard of it.  I work for a couple of smaller institutional money managers that many haven't heard of, but at the end of the day, they're great shops.

Anonymity?  How does naming a firm in New York that you've never heard of compromise anybody's anonymity?  Is the firm not in the Yellow Pages--sort of Double Secret Probation stuff?

I second the motion to ignore this idiot and not respond.

Aug 9, 2006 2:13 pm

If you must respond to NASD Newbie, please PM him.  By responding to him on the forum all you are doing is feeding his "know-it-all" ego.

Aug 9, 2006 2:13 pm

OK then.  I was simply trying to be respectful, but if no one gives a rats’ @$$ - Mid-Market Securities.  Looks to be a mix between venture capital, private placement, etc.

Aug 9, 2006 2:27 pm

I respond to posts that I find interesting.  When it is no longer interesting, repetitive or devolves into name calling and my wiener is bigger than yours types of posts then I move on.  Nothing to see here.

newbie responses break out 4 ways:

1. 33% of the time he's out to piss you off

2. 33% of the time he speaks with little or no knowledge on the subject at hand and sounds like an a$$-- (why? see #1)

3. 33% of the time he has a basic understanding of the subject and (since he has nothing better to do w/ his time) plays a "devil's advocate" to challange "the expert opinion" of the poster (why? see #1)

4. 1% of the time he has great to decent advise or imput that is worthy of reading and/or heeding

i'll continue to read 'em (and everyone else) and decide to respond/not to on a case by case-

That's all that anybody asks.

The word, by the way is advice, not advise when used as you did in number 4.

Since I am the subject of this thread I'll just let all my fans know that I'm heading for the airport.

Off to Atlanta.  If all goes well---meaning a guy who is having to cancel does in fact cancel--I'll be playing Augusta on Thursday.

The odds are slim, the guy who is scheduled to play is in Atlanta and ready to do, but his wife went to the hospital this morning and if she doesn't get out this evening he won't be able to play.

If she does my wife and I will take care of her tomorrow and he'll go to Augusta--if she stays overnight I'm going to go!

Either way it's a good reason to go to Atlanta--it's a decent enough place if you can't be in New York.

I could care less where you go! Just leave!

NASD, as usual, is selling short and pulling for the down market-

how many people jet off to see an old "friend" secretly hoping for her extended hospital stay, so he can play golf in the spouses place?

then again, if these "friends" were going to call someone and put them in this situation, they certainly knew who their ace in the hole would be-

all that said--- it IS augusta.

3rd, 4th, and 5th the motion.  The guy is a jerk.
