Anybody have any books, articles, whatever that you would recommend to help guide me in selling my practice to an outside source or transitioning it to one of my young advisors for a fair price?

Thanks so much for your help,

Jude

You might think about calling your B/D also.  Many of them have succession planning departments who can help you with this.

Or they might take this opportunity to fire you and slice up your book...

Sorry San Fran, I'm Indy and I sometimes forget about all of you who don't have ownership of your life's work!  So here's my correction:

Change to an independent B/D.  Transition as many of your current clients over as you can (legally) and then ask your B/D for help with succession planning.
