Hello,

A friend of mine was laid off from a licensed position (6 & 63) on February 2nd,  2009.

Two questions -

1.) Is their deadline to re-affiliate with a BD Feb 2, 2011, or Feb 28, 2011?

2.) Barring the obvious answer of securing a RR position before the end of the month, does anyone have any creative suggestions as how to save the licenses? (for example, temporarily affiliating with an independent BD)

This person does ultimately plan to re-enter the securities industry, but has had difficulty finding work.
