For those that read Liar’s Poker, thought this was an interesting piece by the same guy:

Edit: I figured the CDO video (for those who haven’t seen it) was a good accompanying piece.

I’ve seen Liar’s Poker in the bookstores, but never gave it a second look.  Is it worth the read?

I’ve read everything he’s written.  Very, very much worth it.  “Liars’s Poker” is an amazing look at how it worked at the institutional level back during the Masters of the Universe era.  If you’re a sports fan, I also recommend “Moneyball,” about how the biggest return on capital in MLB may not be where you’d think it is.  Great writer, and I think he communicates to “us” especially well, 'cause he was one.
