When I left Jones, I did leave on Friday.  I faxed in my resignation at 4:00 to the home office and went to meet with my top-tier clients.  I drove to each house I could on Friday evening and Saturday.  They were very receptive and 90% of the clients I asked to leave with me did.  The ones I couldn't see before I went off to training with my new firm, I spent every break on my cell phone calling them.
