What about the regional firms or wholesaling?

Does anyone have any insights or experience to share with the smaller firms such as RBC, Stifel Nicholaus, RW Baird? What do you think of moving into a wholesaler position? Have you heard any horror stories or success stories? Any other places you think would be a good place to work?

Smaller firms are great if you do not need a big name on your card. Your chances of getting a job as a wholesaler in the current environment is not good. Most top firms are letting the bottom 1/3 of their wholesalers go.
