UBS NFA (trainee) Program Question
Jan 29, 2009 2:19 am
Has anyone heard about changes (i.e., layoffs) on the horizon for UBS NFAs? My specific situation is that I’m just coming up on 1 year, in 2nd quintile for net new assets (around $5 Million), but lagging in production (wrap accounts).
I've been told by management that I have nothing to worry about since my NNA numbers are okay, but the Merrill situation has got me wondering. Thanks for any thoughts.Jan 29, 2009 2:39 am
UBS just BEGUN cost cutting mode. Fact is that one day the upper mgmt may tell the BOM to get rid of some CSA's or NFA's. Are you level 3 or 4 in production?
Either way, I would at the very least keep your options open in the event you get a call to the principal's office.Jan 29, 2009 3:04 am

Production is level 3 and should ramp up as new wrap account fees catch up to NNA.Source URL:https://www.wealthmanagement.com/forums/whats-firms/ubs-nfa-trainee-program-question
