Can anyone tell me if teaming is allowed in the PMD program

I was told that being in a team in the PMD program at Merrill was not allowed until you graduate the program. However I've seen many references to people in the PMD program being succesful from being on a team.

I don't know whats what. Does anyone have any information if being in a team while being a PMD is something that is allowed.
