Quickest way / place to get your 7

so - waaaay back when i got my license, there were a few firms taht you could go to and pay to take your 7. The firms always assumed taht you would stay in work ther but didnt have a problem if you left after passing because you paid your own way.

I have a young friend who was all set to take the 7 and heis department was slashed (not an FA role). he is a better candidate for next jobs if he has the license and (says) he is ready to sit for the test.

Does anyone know if there is a firm in Boston or NY that still operates this way? feel free to IM if that is more comfortable.
