Looking for CFP study books

I am looking for CFP study materials to self pace my studies, BEFORE I actually sign up for a CFP course. If after studying I realize this is not for me, then I have little money lost. Ideally the materials would be 1 to 3 years old.
Does anyone have a set of such books?
