Ummm…I am guessing by looking at your username this post is a joke??? As for what comes first obviously they give you study materials to pass your series 7 and 66.

It really doesn’t matter anyway for you.  Why you ask?  Well first off you were a stripper, secondly by the sounds of your posts, I’m not really sure how not to be mean but…you don’t seem all that intelligent.

My suggestion, put the silicons to use at a “juice bar”, hire a financial advisor to watch after the hundreds of dollars you’ll be making on the weekend and be happy that you have the gift of not being ashamed of wiggling your behind in mens faces.

I would bring you in as my assistant, teach you the ropes, get you licensed and let you prospect all the 60+ year old men.  I would want nothing in return…no really…I mean it.   Seriously, you don’t have to do that…seriously…stop…okayyyyyy

OK, let’s assume you are for real.  You can make $1000/night tax free.  Let’s say you work 5 nights a week with two weeks off for vacation.  That’s 250 nights @ $1000 per = $250,000.  Why in the world would you want to go to all the trouble of getting licensed, prospecting, rejection, managing accounts, etc if you can make $250K?  You’re the econ major.  Tell me how it makes economic sense to work harder, pay more taxes, and add more stress to your life?

Now, if you are getting to the point that you are not going to be making $1000/night then maybe look into a second career.  But, I'd be suprised if you are going to get hired at a reputable financial firm.  Actually, I know of a guy in Midland, TX who would love to hire you.  Tuesdays are a special day in his office and you'd fit right in.    If I were you I'd look at working at someplace like a bank for a while.  Not as an advisor, just as a regular employee.  Get some real work experience under your belt, OK first put it back on, and then try the sales route.    I don't believe Jones will even look at your resume.  Sorry to tell you that.  They are too, um, old fashioned to overlook your current occupation.  It wouldn't look very good on your outside activities disclosure.

hi nancy.

I really don’t care what you have done in the past–its what you want to do with your future…you have to start from the bottom (I know–I know) all over again–you have to look out five years to realize a new career.  I was a sailor for 22 years and there is nothing that would surprise me!

If you are serious and it sounds like you are--instead of placing your personal life on the forum--pm some people to get some sound advise--also change your handle if you want people to take you as a professional.

The reason why I asked is because if they give u laptops etc why shouldnt u take the laptop & run to Goldmans once u have ur series 7 where u can work in a decent office instead of knocking on strange doors in the cold.

It sounds too good to be true that they can give u a laptop, pay for u to study & even give u a salary while u study just because they hope u will come back.

Sorry…be patient with me…I’m not a troll…I’m just new at this industry`!!

It's called a contract.  If you are serious, which I doubt, go to the EDJ website and look under their "careers" section.

Nancy- it’s certainly a little tacky to call yourself a blow job queen… Everyone knows strippers are just big teases… so since none of the guys on this forum are ever going to know if that is true- you should leave your old job behind and go with something a little classier… just my two cents…

Jones does not 'give' you a laptop they allowed you to use one for about a year. You sign a contract to work at the firm for 3 years and if you leave voluntarily and go to the competition.. i.e. smith barney..UBS then you must pay the firm 75K, plus they want their laptop, Printer and such back. * Also this idea that a firm will allow you to still be a stripper at night is a pipe dream.. That will never happen.. Jones doesn't allow outside jobs while you build your business and this was the same case with all the firms I interviewed with before choosing EDJ.. that is why they pay you that little salary for the first year..   The real person you should be asking this too.. is someone from FA recruiting.. That is.. if you are serious.   Miss J
