Another Edward Jones Question

Hi all,

I’m a new FA with Edward Jones, just got my can serve date 2 weeks ago. When I was hired, I moved across the country and was placed in a legacy office an hour from my new home. Didn’t seem like a big deal until I actually moved and started the commute. I have had to overcome a lot of difficulties in the commuting process, as my new home is in a rural, affluent area. (My entire drive to and from the office has no cell reception, no reliable internet providers near my home, etc). After my can serve date, I’m now required to attend montly level new meetings 3 hours from my home (6 hours roundtrip). The legacy office that I’m in is also in a low income area. I’ve door knocked to find abundant halfway houses.

I’m feeling burnt out at this point, and know that building a practice that far away is not sustainable. How easy is it to relocate to another region within Jones and how do you start the process? I live in a region that is smaller and close to my home, but I was placed far away. Tried asking the visiting vet during KYC and LYP, but got insulted and told to move. Thanks in advance for your help!

I start with EJ on Monday. If you don’t mind, could you tell me when you learned that you were getting another office? Did you ask for it, or did they just offer it? Are you new to the industry? Anything you can offer as to the “goodnight” process would be appreciated.
