Anybody ever heard of or used the Oechsli Institute or any of their products and services?

If so any comments would be appreciated. I'm considering their coaching program.   Thanks in advance

I looked at his deal a few years ago. I didn’t like it, but I don’t remember why.

Not sure about the post above, but from what I have seen they have some good stuff.  I saw Matt Oechsli speak a few years back, it seems to me that all of their material is directly based on research and pretty well validated.

They have some very good stuff. But be aware, for it to work, you have to be committed.  He will want you to set a minimum Asset (commission) level per client. And then, your primary goal will be to hang out with people with money, which is easier said than done.

His prospecting is very networking oriented, which will take some time. He also has some good ideas on servicing clients (leather bound notebooks they bring in every time they see you, etc.).  Again, if you aren't committed, I can see this as a big waste of money and time.

Thanks for the info, I’m very committed to my business. I just have to be sure his style can work for me.  Hanging out with rich people is everybodies plan I would think. The trick is getting there.

Dothey have as method that will actually get there if you work it?

Just trying to improve and polish. Many times when I get to work I feel totally clueless.

Find something that works and change it -  that too is the nature of the business.

Take care that you don't over tweak what's working.

Sounds like Gaddock is just trying to supplement what he is already doing (hopefully).  Unfortunately, some prospecting methods don’t work forever.  For example, doorknocking worked to get started, but it is very time-consuming and inefficient, and once you have a moderate client base, it is tough to spend as much time doorknocking.  On the flipside, you can bang out 20 calls in the time it takes to drive over to a neighborhood.
